Natural, Defined or Enhanced Results With dermal Fillers
Lip filler is one of the most requested aesthetic treatments, but achieving a result that works for your face requires careful assessment, technique and planning.
At Alien Aesthetics, lip treatments are always designed around your anatomy and your goals. Your lip shape, tissue structure and facial proportions determine what can be achieved safely, and we tailor every treatment accordingly.
Some clients want subtle definition or hydration. Others want noticeable volume or a fuller, more dramatic lip. Our role is to guide you on what is safe, achievable and proportionate to your anatomy, then create a plan to get you there.
-
Lip filler is a hyaluronic acid–based injectable treatment used to add volume, improve shape and enhance the structure of the lips.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body that attracts and holds water, which helps create hydration and fullness within the tissue. When injected into the lips, dermal filler can enhance volume, improve definition of the lip border, correct asymmetry and support the overall balance of the mouth.
At Alien Aesthetics, lip filler treatments are always planned around your anatomy and your goals. Lip shape, tissue quality and facial proportions all influence what can be achieved safely, which is why careful assessment and technique are essential.
Different techniques can be used to enhance the lips depending on the result you want, from subtle structure and hydration through to fuller, more noticeable volume. We aren’t here to tell YOU how you ‘should’ look, we are here to help you achieve your aesthetic goal.

Lip filler is one of the most commonly requested aesthetic treatments, but achieving a result that suits your face requires experience, clinical understanding and careful planning.
At Alien Aesthetics, treatments are carried out by medical professionals, and every treatment begins with a consultation to assess your lip anatomy, facial proportions and treatment goals.
We only use medical-grade dermal fillers purchased directly from accredited UK pharmacies, ensuring the highest standards of safety, traceability and product quality.
Our approach focuses on creating lips that work with your anatomy and aesthetics, whether your goal is subtle refinement or more noticeable volume. Many of our clients also come to us for first-time lip treatments because of our emphasis on consultation, safety and ongoing support - we have a 24/7 medical emergency phone, ensuring you can quickly contact our team with any concerns.
-
The amount of lip filler needed depends on your starting anatomy and your goals.
At Alien Aesthetics we typically treat lips using 0.5ml or 1ml of dermal filler per appointment. This allows us to enhance shape, structure and volume while respecting the natural limits of the lip tissue.
For many clients, achieving their desired result is a gradual process across multiple treatments rather than a single appointment. Building lips slowly allows the tissue to adapt safely and helps maintain a balanced result that suits your facial proportions.
During your consultation we assess your lip shape, tissue capacity and facial balance, then create a treatment plan that safely moves you towards your goal over time.
-
Lip filler appointments at Alien Aesthetics are 45 minutes, allowing time for consultation, treatment and aftercare guidance.
When you arrive, we begin by applying topical numbing cream to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during the procedure. Please DO NOT applying numbing prior to your appointment.
Your appointment then includes a full consultation, where we discuss your goals, assess your lip anatomy and talk through the potential risks, healing process and what can realistically be achieved. This is an important part of the process and allows us to create a treatment plan tailored to you.
Once the lips are numb, we carry out a detailed facial and lip assessment, discussing shape, structure and the most appropriate technique for your goals.
The treatment itself is performed using precise injections of hyaluronic acid dermal filler.
At the end of your appointment we will review the treatment together and go through aftercare instructions, ensuring you feel confident about the healing process and know what to expect over the following days.
-
Swelling and bruising are a normal part of lip filler treatment.
The first 24–72 hours are typically when swelling is most noticeable, and the lips may feel firm, uneven and exaggerated during this time. This is a temporary part of the healing process.
Bruising, swelling and asymmetry can take up to four weeks to fully settle, which is why we always advise clients to allow time for the lips to heal before judging the final result.
Before your appointment you will receive an email containing your consent forms and pre-care advice so you know how to prepare for treatment.
At the end of your appointment we will also discuss aftercare in detail, and you will receive a follow-up aftercare email explaining how to manage swelling and bruising during the healing period.

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be safely dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase if required.
At Alien Aesthetics we are fully trained and qualified to manage filler complications, prescribe and perform dissolving treatments when appropriate.
Some clients also choose dissolving treatments for aesthetic reasons, such as correcting migration or starting again with a new treatment plan.
If you already have lip filler that you are unhappy with, you can learn more about our lip dissolving and correction treatments on our Alien Lip Rehab page.
